 Community Service

We will be collecting Box Tops for Education again this year from September through June 2012.  We will also be collecting items for The Kathleen Mary House at our February, March and April chapter meetings.

The Kathleen Mary House is a Southtowns transitional house that opened its doors to women and their children who are victims of domestic violence and need safe, short-term housing. The Kathleen Mary House is more than a place to live; it is a place of new beginnings. Residents will be given the physical, emotional, and spiritual assistance they need in a secure, nurturing environment. The programs offered will teach the women and children how to break the cycle of violence, giving them back their dignity and teaching them the life skills needed to lead self-sufficient lives. The following items are needed at the house on an ongoing basis: cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, paper products, aluminium foil, baggies, garbage and trash bags, Kleenex, toilet paper, batteries (AA & AAA), light bulbs (40W, 60W, 75W), postage stamps, show passes and gift cards such as Target, Wal-Mart, Wegmans, Tops, and Jubilee.

Bravo!  Many thanks to the Buffalo Chapter members who have helped us achieve the 2010-2011 Chapter of Excellence designation!  Click here to view a congratulatory letter from outgoing International President Mary Ramsay-Drow, CAP-OM!
